Your horse should have an exam an float done a least once a year. Young horses and older horse should have an exam and float about every 6 months.
You should have your horse's hooves trimmed every 6-8 weeks. This helps to prevent any issues with their feet and ensures that they are comfortable while walking and running.
It is hard to say because each horse is different and each case is different. I tell everyone that they will know before I will. They will be able to see it or feel it when the horse moves.
